A teacher has been charged in the death of a 15-year-old student who drowned while swimming in Algonquin Park last summer.
Ontario Provincial Police allege 54-year-old Nicholas Mills of Caledon was responsible for co-ordinating and overseeing the trip that left 15-year-old Jeremiah Perry dead.
Perry was one of several students from C.W. Jeffreys Collegiate who had not passed a mandatory swim test prior to going on the trip in July 2017.
Mills has been charged with criminal negligence causing death.
