Great music is on its way to Caledon.

Caledon Chamber Concerts, a local non-profit dedicated to bringing professional classical music to Caledon, is gearing up for its 2023 season.

Their first concert is taking place at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 15.

The VC2 Cello Duo will take the stage at St. James Anglican Church in Caledon East (6025 Old Church Road).

The VC2 Cello Duo is composed of Amahl Arulanandam and Bryan Holt, and CBC Radio has called them a “tight unit, with excellent intonation and expression”.

The pair play their own music, in addition to classical masterworks and lesser-known pieces of music.

The VC2 Cello Duo’s latest album is called “I and Thou” and is all about relationships — in life and in music. The duo will be playing songs from this album for guests, as well as works from classical masters like Mozart, Haydn, Saint-Saens, and Vivaldi.

Tickets for the show are free for those ages 16 and under, and $40 for all others. For more information and to purchase tickets, those interested can visit caledonchamberconcerts.com or call 905-880-2445.
