It might have been a holiday weekend, but officers from Caledon OPP were kept pretty busy.
Police report they received almost 300 calls for service over the weekend, including traffic accidents, driving offences and calls for assistance.
As well, OPP reported a sharp increase in the number of drinking and driving changes laid in the Greater Toronto Area, and there were five such charges in Caledon. Those five people charged also include a charge of possession of a schedule II substance, refusal to provide a breath sample, obstructing a peace officer and personation with intent to avoid arrest.
