The Bolton Brewers continue to lead the North Dufferin Baseball League’s senior division.
The Bolton squad has been driving up the total, especially in their last few games.
In their double header against the Angus Black Sox May 26, the Brewers blanked the Sox in both games scoring 22 runs while not allowing a single run against.
That game came on the heels of the outing against the Lisle Astros, in which the Brewers scored 12 and held the Astros to two runs for the game.
While the Brewers may be at the top of the pile, it doesn’t mean they don’t have some serious competition.
The Orillia Majors have the same record, but are in second place, based on the runs for and against. The New Lowell Knights are in third place with 10 points. The Midland Indians also have a strong team.
There will be a lot of home town action this coming weekend when the two Bolton teams in the NDBL will meet up for a double header at North Hill Park in Bolton.
The games were originally scheduled for June 1, but had to be postponed due to conflicts on the schedule.
The Bolton Brewers and the Bolton Dodgers will meet for the double header at the south diamond at North Hill Park Saturday. Game one is scheduled for 1 p.m., with game two following.
