Congratulations to the Bolton Wanderers U16 Girls’ team.
They ended their 2014 soccer season by winning the Hillsburgh Erin and District Soccer (HEADS) tournament.
Over the two-day event Sep. 27 and 28, set in the peaceful and picturesque town of Hillsburgh, the girls took to the fields winning all the games they played. Bolton beat Brams United 4-0, HEADS 1-1 with a 3-2 win in the shootout, SC Toronto 1-0 and Welland 7-0.
The team accomplished their wins through spirited, possession style of play and good communication on the field under the skillful guidance of their coach, Angelo Di Benedetto.
The HEADS Cup champion girls and their supportive and enthusiastic parents would like to thank coach Angelo and assistants Derick, Duncan and Sherry, as well as team managers Bryan and Antonella for an enjoyable season.
The girls also would like to thank team sponsors Mardave Construction Ltd., Regulatory Solutions Inc., Prudential Select Real Estate, Dr. Ted and A&J Automotive Repair. All players have stated their interest in returning to train over the winter in order to compete and get to new heights for the indoor/outdoor 2015 year.
