Blackhorse brings you Holmes for the Holidays

October 23, 2013   ·   0 Comments

The Blackhorse Village Players has a little mystery coming to you for the holidays.
Their upcoming production is set to preview Oct. 30. The presentation will be The Game’s Afoot, or Holmes for the Holidays, by Ken Ludwig. This show blends mystery with farcical elements and is sure to entertain.
Broadway actor William Gillette dons the persona of Sherlock Holmes, whom he played on stage for years, when a guest at his isolated Connecticut castle is murdered during a holiday weekend of revelry. Can he catch the killer before the next victim appears? The danger and hilarity are intertwined in this glittering whodunit set at Christmas 1936.
The talents of Rod Cook (Bolton), Vincent Ursini (Caledon), Jordan Baker (Schomberg), Catherine Burns (Beeton), Dorothy Schmauder (Adjala), Victoria Torkarski (Barrie), Cheryl Phillips (Tottenham) and Barb Fairhead (Brampton) make up the entertaining ensemble of characters. The play is directed by Catherine Johnson (Tottenham).
Performances begin Oct 30 and run through to Nov. 16. The Blackhorse theater is on the northwest corner of Mount Wolfe Road and Highway 9 in Caledon.
