Barn fire under investigation

The Ontario Fire Marshall is looking into the cause of a fire that destroyed a barn on Mountainview Road, near Caledon East, early last Friday morning.
Caledon Fire and Emergency Services reported they received a 9-1-1 call about flames being visible at about 4:36 a.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, crews found a structure of about 10,000 square feet fully involved with flames. They immediately called for additional manpower, plus two extra tankers.
The department is crediting the effort and great work by firefighters for bringing the blaze under control within two hours.
There were no injuries, and the department reported several horses were safely removed from the area.
Damage from fire is estimated at $500,000.
Fire crews from Caledon East, Palgrave, Mono Mills, Caledon village, Bolton and Inglewood took part in the effort, along with the Fire Marshall, Caledon OPP, Hydro One and Peel EMS.
