Mayfield Secondary School
Denzel Douglas
This 17-year-old has been showing his prowess as a shooting guard on the senior boys’ basketball team, which has opened its campaign with a 1-1 record. Away from school, he plays basketball in the Brampton Warriors organization. The Grade 12 students lives in Brampton with his parents Karen and Kells James.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School
Aaron Coward
This Grade 11 student contributed his talents as a slot back to the championship varsity football team this fall. When not in school, he plays football in the Orangeville Outlaws organization. He’s also active in freestyle skiing at Caledon Ski Club. The 16-year-old lives in Mono Mills with his parents Mark and Arlene Coward.
St. Michael Catholic Secondary School
Maya Allen
This 16-year-old was a point guard on this year’s varsity basketball team, which won at ROPSSAA and made it to the semifinals at OFSAA. Outside of school, she plays rep basketball and also helps coach in the Caledon Cougars organization. The Grade 11 student lives in Bolton with her parents Andre Allen and Susan Pennypacker.
Humberview Secondary School
Jordan Keane
This Grade 11 student is a point guard and shooting guard for the varsity basketball team, and he contributed six free throws to the teams 47-46 victory last week over Sandalwood Heights Secondary School. In the community, he plays basketball with CIA Bounce. The 16-year-old lives in Bolton with his mother Sandra Keane.
