Associate Medical Officer of Health appointed

Dr. Katherine Bingham has been appointed Associate Medical Officer of Health for Peel Region.
Peel Regional council recently approved the appointment.
Dr. Eileen de Villa has been the acting Medical Officer of Health in place of Dr. David Mowat since June 3. Mowat has been seconded to the province as Interim Chief Medical Officer of Health.
Mowat’s temporary relocation has led to Bingham’s recruitment on a part-time basis that will last up to six months in the Medical Health Care office. Her term began March 2.
