Caledon OPP reports a vehicle parked on the southbound shoulder of Highway 10 near Olde Base Line Road Sunday caught the attention of one of their officers.
The officer, who was conducting traffic enforcement at the time, spoke to the driver of the parked vehicle, and immediately noticed a strong smell of alcohol on his breath. A demand was made to provide a breath sample into a roadside screening device, and after failing the roadside test; he was arrested and transported to the Caledon detachment station for further breath testing.
The 31-year-old man from Scarborough was charged with having care and control of a vehicle with more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven.
