The magic of Disney came to the stage in Orangeville recently. Staff, students and volunteers at Alton Public School put on performances of Beauty and the Beast Jr. before sell-out audiences. Rehearsals had been going on since just after Thanksgiving. As well as performing at the Dufferin Youth Festival of the Arts and Peel District School Board’s Celebration of Excellence in May, they also took part in the Peel District School Board Presents: Drama Showcase at the Living Arts Centre in Mississauga for the first time ever.
