$50,000 reward — Police seek help with three-year-old homicide

Caledon OPP are appealing for help from the public in their investigation of a 2011 murder.
Police say Van Sanh Tieu, 53, was apparently killed Feb. 18, 2011. His remains were discovered by work crews excavating after a large residential fire on Mississauga Road in Caledon. Evidence revealed the home had been used as a marihuana grow-op. Tieu had been tending to the property in the days before his death.
Investigators remain confident that the mystery surrounding his death will be solved. A $50,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for his murder.
The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch file remains open on this matter, and police believe there are individuals who know what happened, and who could assist them in completing this investigation.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Caledon OPP at 905-584-2241. Those who wish to remain anonymous can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), where they could receive a cash reward of up to $2000.
