The artistic creativity of several Grade 9 students at Mayfield Secondary School was on display recently for the show entitled The Birds are Back in Town. With the assistance of artist C.J. Shelton, and using birds of prey as models, they came up with their own watercolour creations that were on display at Alton Mill Arts Centre. “They did a great job,” Mayfield art teacher Marie Burnett declared. Kelyn Young said she was trying to convey an image of a owl on something grand.
