The Ontario Fire Mashal’s office is still investigating a fire that damaged two houses on Connaught Crescent in Bolton early Sunday morning. Deputy Fire Chief Mark Wallace said Caledon Fire and Emergency Services received the call at 12:34 a.m., adding it came from a resident on Ridgebank Court who saw the flames. The first crews to arrive saw flames shooting through the roof of one of the houses. “It was a well-involved fire,” he said, adding it spread to the neighbouring house. Eight pieces of fire-fighting apparatus responded, including the arial truck from Caledon village and another from Brampton. Wallace said there were two adults in each house, and everyone got out unharmed. No firefighters were injured either. He said total damage was estimated at $600,000. There is still no word as to the cause.
