Shutouts in SNJMHL

Goals were the hot item on the menu for Nov. 22 in Sunday Night Junior Men’s Hockey League action, with two shutouts and a pair of big scoring games as the entrees.
Moose 3, Fire 0
Mr. Handyman Moose kicked up some dirt and smothered the Ainsley Fire squad.
Brett Weight stood tall and got the shutout while Brad Sztorc netted a pair and added a helper, with Graham Bryson getting the other marker and Brendan Pace and Steve Brown earning assists.
Predators 5, Wings 0
Not to be out-done, Scott Irvine of the Inside Out Family Chiropractic Predators blocked all attempts and got the goose egg over the St. Louis Bar and Grill Red Wings.
Mark Metcalfe salted it away for the Predators with a hat trick, with Tim Vokey and Steve Hutchins getting singles. Assists were from the sticks of Vokey, Ryan Smith, John Hutchinson, Howard Cantelon, Larry Richardson and Colin Fyffe.
Blades 4, Penguins 3
In a tight match, Ken’s Lawn Mower Repairs Blades were just too sharp for the George’s Arena Sports Penguins.
Kevin Wigner got the Blades spinning with an unassisted marker, while Steve Smith, Darren Jones and Jason Clark each added to the cause. Helpers for the Blades came from the sticks of Darren Levy, David Payne and Greg Fuller. Penguin marchers were Dave Matheson (unassisted), and Matt Dowdle with a pair. Assists were from Jesse Thompson, Kevin Christie, Mike Tarasco and Ron Toffan.
Wild 5, Warriors 4
To round out the night the Pommies Cider Co. Wild were able to squeeze out a win over the We Are Creative Warriors.
Grinders for the Wild were Matt Temple from Alex White and Jay Beech, Shaun Heron from Craig Shaw and Dale Deleonardis, White from James Sheridan, Shaw from Eric Webster, and Deleonardis from Richard Archer. Warrior whackers were Kevin Norris from Brandon Jones and Dave Chambers, Brent Spagnol (unassisted), Norris from Jones, and Chambers from Norris.
