A swab drive is planned for April 2 to help a young SouthFields Village boy who has been diagnosed with aplastic anemia.
Aaryan is a 10-year-old boy, and it’s been reported his best chance of beating this rare blood disorder is if he can undergo a bone marrow transplant. He is an only child, and no one in his family have been found to be a suitable match, so efforts are underway to help expand the registry of potential doners.
The swab drive will be at St. Joachim Elementary School at 435 Rutherford Rd. North in Brampton. It will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
