Renewed Hope will use grant money to renovate facilities

On August 12, Renewed Hope was named one of five non-profit organizations receiving grant funding from the Caledon Community Council Golf Tournament Grant (CCCGT).

The 2026 grant will be used towards facility renovations for the building in areas such as the Thrift Store, Café and Mercy Mobile Unit.

Together this organization works to provide a multifaceted approach to helping families and individuals throughout the Caledon area.

Its goal is to have a growing network of programs designed to help provide practical assistance and to create a welcoming space where everyone can connect, find support and feel valued.

The Thrift Store at Renewed hope offers a wide variety in second hand clothing and other items at an affordable price, making it easier for people to find items and not stress from additional pressure on their household budget.

The RH Café is another highlight that Renewed Hope offers. The café focuses on providing customers affordable hand-crafted beverages, coffee and a variety of baked good.

Working together with local coffee curators and bakers, they wish to be able to let people enjoy a good coffee or treat that isn’t an expensive experience.

The café also serves as an area where people can meet new people, form connections and enjoy the atmosphere.

Renewed Hope would like to express its deepest gratitude to the Caledon Council Community Golf Tournament (CCCGT) for its generous donation and support.

“That generosity is helping Renewed Hope expand its ability to reach people throughout the region and provide meaningful assistance week after week. Because of the support of the CCCGT, Renewed Hope is better positioned to reach hundreds of people in any given week through its various initiatives — from the Thrift Store and Café to food distribution and the MMU’s outreach throughout the community,” says Margarida Melnichuk, leader and co-founder of Renewed Hope.

“The impact of a donation is therefore much greater than a single cheque or a single event. It becomes clothing in someone’s hands, food on the table, a welcoming place to sit and connect, or a mobile unit arriving at an organization that needs support. The CCCGTs generosity is helping turn resources into real opportunities to help people.”

Renewed Hope’s programs are made possible from the generous support that they receive from donors, business, volunteers and other organizations. Regardless of how big or small the donation or help, it all fits into a larger picture.

Renewed Hope is deeply thankful to the CCCGT, its leadership, organizers, supporters and donors for believing in the organization’s vision and helping make this work possible reaching the region making it a better place for people to thrive.
