Police warn against illegal dumping

March 25, 2016   ·   0 Comments

Caledon OPP are working closely with Caledon Fire and Emergency Services and the Public Works Department to investigate five illegal dumping incidents that have occurred over the past year.
Dumping of hazardous materials can pose public safety concerns and clean-up efforts can be very costly for all Caledon taxpayers. Police are requesting citizens contact them immediately when they observe suspicious vehicles dumping unknown materials, or immediately report any sightings after the fact.
Police are reminding residents to contact the OPP Communications Centre immediately at 1-888-310-1122 to report any suspicious activity or suspicious vehicles in the area. Information such as suspect physical descriptions, suspect vehicles and direction of travel are useful tools for investigators.
