The 44th annual Bolton Terry Fox Run was a great success.
At 9 a.m. on September 15, Caledon residents gathered at the Kin Centre in Bolton for the Terry Fox Run.
Bolton Kin volunteers set up a one-kilometre loop for participants and cheered them on as they came around. Bolton Kin grilled hot dogs and gave out cold water to participants, who were enjoying the run on a hot and sunny morning.
In total, over $26,000 was raised for cancer research from this year’s Bolton Terry Fox Run. There were 187 participants in the run, with ages ranging from as young as one to as old as 85.
Kathy McFarlane, president of the Bolton Kin, said she thinks this year’s run might have been the largest ever in Bolton. She said it was great to see such a nice turnout.
