Moose on top of standings in Sunday night league

After five evenings of action in the Sunday Night Junior Men’s Hockey League, the Mr. Handyman Moose are still showing the way in the standings.
They have nine points, after downing the We Are Creative Warriors 7-0 Oct. 18.
The evening also saw the Ken’s Lawn Mower Repair Blades post their first win of the season, a 4-1 verdict at the expense of the Ainsley Fire.
In other action, the Inside out Family Chiropractor Predators doubled the Pommies Cider Co Wild 4-2, while the George’s Arena Sports Penguins battled the St. Louis Bar and Grill Red Wings to a 4-4 draw.
Predators 4, Wild 2
The Predators turned the Wild inside out and were able to put in four to get the victory.
Net nabbers for the Predators were Mike Andreoli, Tim Vokey, Ray Ilijasic and Mike Arnold, with help from goalie Scott Irvine, Fab Iafano, Howard Cantelon and Vokey. The Wild were able to get on the board with Craig Shaw from Alex White and Richard Archer, and Jay Beech from Shaw and Mike Swan.
Moose 7, Warriors 0
Brett Weight stood tall and turned away all in earning the shutout for the Moose.
Helping out on the score sheet for the Moose were Cam Coulter from Shane Marshall and Marc de Abaitua, Brad Sztorc from Steve Brown and Brendan Pace, Chuck Hughes (unassisted), Coulter (unassisted), de Abaitua from Graham Bryson, Bryson from Sztorc and Pace, and Sztorc from Pace.
Penguins 4, Wings 4
In a tight match, neither side were able to best the other as the Penguins skated to a tie against the Wings.
Penguin potters were Matt Dowdle from Ron Toffin and Alex Schittenhelm, Brandon Scott (unassisted), Schittenhelm (unassisted), and Mike Tarasco from Dowdle. Wings wrappers were Chris Quayle from Sean Doner, Quayle (unassisted), Quayle (unassisted), and Daniel Hamlett from Mike D. and Rob Thibeault.
Blades 4, Fire 1
The Blades chopped the competition, handing the Fire the loss.
Bin bulgers for the Blades were Steve Smith from Daryll Simpson and Kevin Wigner, Darren Levy from Simpson and Jason Clark, Simpson from Smith, and Shawn Simpson from Darren Jones. The Fire’s lone flame came from Mark Andreoli (unassisted).
