DARE holding murder mystery night

October 10, 2014   ·   0 Comments

Somebody’s going to get bumped off in aid of a good cause Oct. 25.
The Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program will be holding its second annual murder mystery fundraiser.
It will be at Glen Eagle Golf Club, with cocktails at 6 p.m. followed by dinner at 7.
DARE has been taught to Grade 6 students in Caledon for 12 years. Over nine weeks, students interact with an OPP officer who’s been trained to teach the program, telling the young people about information and decision-making skills necessary to resist drug use and avoid violence while dealing with cyber bullying and peer pressure. The benefits of this socially-relevant program has been documented and clearly contributes to a safer community.
