Crowd at top of standings in men’s hockey action

Parity reigns in the Caledon Senior Hockey League as two of its six teams are tied for first place with three others crowded right behind them.
George’s Arena Sports pulled into the first-place tie with Rutherford Global Logistics by virtue of a 7-5 win over Bolton Chiropractic Centre last Monday. Rutherford was upended 5-2 by Yale Industrial Trucks, which joined the three-way tie for third place. In the other game, Jiffy Lube Oilers downed Fines Ford Lincoln 4-2.

Bolton Chiropractic 5
Greg MacIssac led a team effort for George’s with two goals and two assists, while Gary Faultless, Ron Sampson, Jim Rogers and Maurizo Giorgio had three points each.
Faultless and Sampson had a two goals and one assist each with Rogers notching a goal and two assists and Giorgio chipping in three assists. Bret Smith and Rick Geiger both had two assists.
Jeff Boyles scored twice for the Chiropractors while Bruno Fracassi had a goal and two assists. Paul Speck and Mike Shore scored the other goals. Rick Agar set up two goals with single assists going to David Shoalts, Howard Wight, Gary Stewart and Dave Armstrong.
Yale 5, Rutherford 2
Scott Woodcock paced Yale with two goals and two assists with Nick Taccogna adding two goals.
Team sponsor Al McFadyen scored the other goal with Joe Guaragna getting two assists. John Castellucci and Steve Tarasco each had an assist.
Dominic Spignasi and James Heenan scored for Rutherford with the assists going to Bob Smith, Peter Coghill and Jim Horan.
Jiffy Lube 4, Fines Ford 2
Mike McNamara set up three goals for Jiffy Lube with Bill Jenner grabbing a goal and an assist.
Steve Sanderson, Jim Moyer and Brian Fetterly scored the other goals with single assists going to Joe Palumbo and Bill Doherty.
Jack Gibson led Fines Ford with a goal and an assist. Ian Kerr scored the other goal and Dominic Ierullo had an assist.
