There was lots of colour and enthusiasm at Lionhead Golf Club and Conference Centre recently as Cystic Fibrosis Canada held the Princess Ball in Peel for the first time. The festivities included a fashion show.
Mark Maramieri, president of the Peel and District Chapter of Cystic Fibrosis Canada, welcomed everyone to the Princess Ball. He also had the chance to Crown the Princess of the event, Chloe Micallef-Blank, 8, of Mississauga as her mother Tracy looked on. Chloe has cystic fibrosis, which her mother said is the most common fatal genetic disease that affects Canadian children and young adults, and it has no cure. “Chloe has a very positive attitude to her CF,” she said.
