Terra Cotta is going to be a very busy place this coming Sunday (Aug. 24).
The third annual Chase the Dream motorcycle show and fundraiser will be taking place at Terra Cotta Inn. The day will include a scenic ride through the Caledon Hills, followed by an afternoon of live entertainment at the Inn.
The event is in support of Chase Galea, a local young man who has cerebral palsy and hearing loss. He’s now seven and the funds raised from the event will go toward trust fund that’s been set up to provide him with a better life.
Organizer Dave Heydon said things are looking good for the coming event.
“Things are coming together really, really good,” he said. “Just pray for good weather.”
Heydon said registration is at 9:30 a.m. at the Inn at 175 King St., with “kickstands up at 11.”
The ride will take about 90 minutes, and the rest of the afternoon will include a “show and shine,” with prizes in different categories, live music by Larry Melton, raffles for major prizes, silent and live auction, and much more. Even people who are not motorcycle enthusiasts should be impressed with the collection of bikes that will be on display.
Tickets are $20, and Heydon said this includes admission to the event and a free raffle ticket for a draw $2,000 gift card.
