Braves squeak out a championship

November 4, 2015   ·   0 Comments

The Bolton Braves bantam midget Blue Jays took the championship title in a squeaky close game with the Red Sox Aug. 31 at North Hill Park in Bolton.
Finishing second behind the Red Sox in regular season play, the Blue Jays opened as the visiting team, while the Red Sox had the last-bat home-team advantage.
The Sox were leading heading into the third inning, but the Jays’ bats came alive to take the lead by the fourth. They maxed out on runs in the fifth and left the Sox with no opportunity for redemption with a 12-5 final.
It was a hard battle fought by both teams. Congratulations to the champs and finalists for a good game and a great season.
