Services held to remember the fallen

Remembrance services were held Sunday in Caledon East and Mono Mills to remember Canadian service personnel who have fallen in wars, peacekeeping operations and other military actions. Members of the Sandhill Pipes and Drums led the parade to the Cenotaph at Town Hall.

Royal Canadian Legion Zone E3 Commander Cathy Connelly of Orangeville laid the wreath on behalf of the Legion outside of Town Hall.
Councillor Jennifer Innis laid a wreath on behalf of Ontario Provincial Police at Mono Mills.
Piper Mike Melnyk led the procession at Sunday’s ceremony in Mono Mills.
Rev. Philip Cable of the Mono Mills Pastoral Charge spoke Sunday.
Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School student Jonathan Kjaer performed the Last Post in Caledon East.
Dondra De Vita read In Flanders Fields at the ceremony in Mono Mills.
Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones represented the Province at both ceremonies.
Pastor Jeff Enns, chaplain of Caledon Fire and Emergency Services, pronounced the invocation at Sunday’s services at Caledon East.
