Equestrian Management Group (EMG), which operates the Caledon Equestrian Park, is to one of this year’s inductees into the Jump Canada Hall of Fame.
The induction ceremony will be this Sunday (Nov. 8) in Toronto.
“It’s absolutely a wonderful, wonderful honour,” declared EMG Managing Partner Craig Collins, who added Jump Canada is a very important organization to them. “They’re the bosses running the sport in our country.”
EMC is being inducted in the Builders category. Collins suggested the recognition had much to do with the construction and operation of the facility that hosted Pan American Games events earlier in the year.
Collins said he was “pleasantly” surprised to get the news of the induction, and was pleased about the recognition.
Also being inducted as a Builder is Moffat Dunlap. In the Coach category, Doug Hood is being inducted posthumously, and Jumper Horse Rio Grande, owned by Augustin and Christine Walch, is included too.
“We are thrilled to welcome four deserving new inductees into the Hall of Fame,” said Jump Canada Hall of Fame Chairman Mark Samuel. “Each has contributed to the success of our industry and has helped to establish the strong foundation that we enjoy today. Congratulations to all!”
