Subway Athletes of the Week — May 15, 2014

Mayfield Secondary School Jennifer Smith This Grade 11 student is getting ready to contribute her skills to the school’s senior girls’ soccer team. She said things got off to a bit of a slow start, but there’s optimism they will pick up. Away from school, she is a rep player for the Bolton Wanderers’ Soccer Club. The 16-year-old lives in ValleyWood with her parents Christine and Iain Smith.

Robert F. Hall Catholic Secondary School Melissa Kodors This 18-year-old showed her prowess playing mix badminton at school. She placed fifth in mixed doubles this year, and was third in singles last year. She has also played as a point guard in basketball at school. The Grade 12 student lives in Caledon East with her parents Carole and Harold Kodors.

This 18-year-old showed her prowess playing mix badminton at school. She placed fifth in mixed doubles this year, and was third in singles last year. She has also played as a point guard in basketball at school. The Grade 12 student lives in Caledon East with her parents Carole and Harold Kodors.

St. Michael Catholic Secondary School Alec Baldesarra This Grade 12 student is a handler on the varsity ultimate Frisbee team which won its first two games of the season. He was also a shooting guard on the senior boys’ basketball team and he played middle in senior boys’ volleyball. In the community, he coaches house league basketball in the Caledon Cougars’ organization. The 17-year-old lives in Bolton with his parents Cheryann and Tullio Baldesarra.

This Grade 12 student is a handler on the varsity ultimate Frisbee team which won its first two games of the season. He was also a shooting guard on the senior boys’ basketball team and he played middle in senior boys’ volleyball. In the community, he coaches house league basketball in the Caledon Cougars’ organization. The 17-year-old lives in Bolton with his parents Cheryann and Tullio Baldesarra.

Humberview Secondary School Colin Sinclair The 16-year-old is playing midfield of the varsity outdoor lacrosse team, which has won two of its first three matches. He also played on the school’s ping pong team, and he was a setter on the junior volleyball squad. Away from school, he’s a rep centre in the Caledon Minor Hockey Association and he plays rep lacrosse with the Caledon Bandits. The Grade 10 student lives in Caledon East with his parents Tim and Linda Sinclair.
