Caledon Community Services inviting local residents to job fair, held on Feb. 6

Caledon Community Services (CCS) is always for the people. Whether assisting them get where they need to go through their transit system, or helping youth complete their mandatory 40 community services.

Now, the local organization is doing its part to help people in the community find employment.

On Feb 6, CCS will be allowing members of the communities to learn and gain opportunities on future employment at the Multi-Employer Job Fair. 

Just under 20 different employers will be in attendance to represent their business and what possible employment they offer. 

 The list of employers includes: Caledon Community Services, YMCA Child Care Centres, Mount Alverno Luxury Resort, YMCA Cedar Glenn – Outdoor Centre, Lullaboo Nursery & Childcare Centre, Canadian Tire, Bright Path Kids, Amazon, CIBC, FedEx, Devil’s Pulpit Golf Association, Vintage Hotels – Millcroft Inn & Spa, Select Hospitality Systems, Region of Peel, Paramed, Metre Canada Ltd., Saputo, Primerica, and Motivated Staffing

This event falls under the Jobs Caledon sector at Caledon Community Services. CCS works to assist not only job seekers, but employers too in finding the right fit. 

On the CCS website, job postings are listed with criteria on whether it’s a full-time position or part-time, times of shifts, a job description, where the job is located and who to contact. 

Jobs listed vary from retail, to administrative, sales and food. 

On Jan 24, Jobs Caledon is hosting an employment workshop to learn and discuss different types of resumes and how to put together a resume to perfectly fit you. 

With these events and training, CCS is preparing residents to find the job that works for them while guiding them through the process. 

Caledon Community Services has been hosting the Multi-Employer Job Fair for the past seven years. Recently, the organization has been holding up to three job fairs annually. 

According the CCS website, “Jobs Caledon is part of the Employment Ontario integrated employment and training network, helping Ontarians to find employment and training services that they need. This hiring event will assist employers fill open positions and identify potential candidates for future roles and provide job seekers the opportunity to work locally.”
