Fleming Realty Inc., a small boutique realty firm but with a big heart, recently celebrated 10 years of providing homeowners their dream place to live.

The celebration took place last Wednesday (Oct. 3) at the Caledon Estates Banquet Hall. Also in attendance were some past clients, and representatives for Dufferin-Caledon MPP Sylvia Jones and MP David Tilson presented a plaque recognizing the ten years of service the firm provided.

“It’s amazing,” said founder/owner Sarah Fleming on accomplishing so much in a decade. “I left an international brand, and decided to go out on my own.”

Established in 2008, the firm has had listings in Caledon, New Tecumseth, Bolton, Adjala, Orangeville, and even as far out as Richmond Hill, Bellville, Sarnia, and Sudbury. “We go where the clients take us,” Ms. Fleming noted. “We sell everywhere.”

The firm has sold townhouses, semis, multi-million dollar homes, and leasing on apartments, meeting a variety of people. “We do it all,” commented Ms. Fleming.

Now with five other sales representatives, she said that they all came to her. “That makes me very proud. It’s very humbling to know that.”

She explained that her personality, patience, and attentiveness to people are what have made the firm successful in a small town against big international brands. “My job is to do what’s best for my client.”

She added, “I couldn’t have created the atmosphere that Fleming Realty has, the culture that we have, without my staff.”

She said she has created strong relationships with several clients, and has dealt with a client’s children, building a friendship. “I treat everybody like family. “I have my clients’ best interests at heart.”

Ms. Fleming explained that through changes in prices and development, it has all come down to consistency, being able to adapt and deal with those changes. “You stay with your ethics, and you stay with your morals, and you always put forward that professional 100 per cent attitude, you’re going to be successful in whatever you do.”

She described the firm as one that gives a personal service to clients. “We’re able to give that personal attention to everybody.”

“We’re a family,” she added on the tight-knit clones with her employees. “We get along really well, we have each other’s backs.”

Ms. Fleming explained that when she had to take care of some medical issues, she worked out of her home office, but her staff kept working. “If it hadn’t been for my staff, I probably wouldn’t be here today after 10 years, because of the medical issues I had for three years. They’ve kept me going the last three years.”

She said she very proud of maintaining her cliental. “I can say as of today, 100 per cent of my personal business is repeat and referral.”

Asked on what is in store for the next ten years, she simply stated, “I’m looking to continue and go forward.”
