Berber, Lotus will hit the road for dog guides

The stage is set for the annual Pet Value Walk for Dog Guides, and some well known faces will take part in the Nobleton event.

Bev Berger, and her dog guide Lotus will join residents in the May 27 walk, to help raise funds for the training and placement of Dog Guides for Canadians with visual, hearing and medical or physical disabilities.

The Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides is organized by local volunteers and the Nobleton Lions Club. People of all ages and abilities are invited to help ensure that another Canadian “Will Never Walk Alone.”

All online donations will receive immediate credit card payment confirmation and an official income tax receipt. To participate in person with or without a pooch simply arrive for the 9 a.m. registration at the Nobleton Public Library gazebo. You’ll meet likeminded folks who are willing to support such a worthwhile event. The walk begins at 10 a.m. and is a comfortable 5-kilometre route, weaving along residential areas.
