Santa welcomed back to Caledon village

A big crowd was gathered Saturday at Knox United Church in Caledon village to welcome Santa Claus back for the Christmas celebrations. The guest of honour arrived on this vintage fire truck.

Members of the Optimist Club of Caledon made a $200 contribution to the Toy Drive being run by the local firefighters. Optimist Paul Reader and Club President Sue Montgomery presented the cheque to Firefighters Phil Hibbert and Cody Edmonds.

Lots of local youngsters were anxious to meet Santa, including Conner Presseault, 6.

Fay McCrea, representing the Caledon Village Association, presented a contribution of $200 to Caledon OPP Auxiliary Sergeants Jim Drake and Mike McJannet. The funds will go toward the police’s Shop with a Cop program.
