Blades and Predators pulling away from pack in Sunday night league

The Ken’s Lawnmower Repairs Blades and the Inside Out Family Chiropractic Predators are duelling for top spot in the standings in the Sunday Night Hockey League.
The Blades ended October with 13 points, while the Predators are on their heels with 12. It’s a bit of a step back to the third-place club. The Ainsley Fire Protection Fire have seven, followed by a four-way tie between the Caledon Hills Brewing Brewers, Pommies Cider Co. Wild, St. Louis Bar and Grill Wings and the Mr. Handyman Ice Hogs with six each. The Glen Eagle Golf Course Griffins trail.

Predators 5, Griffins 2
In the first match of the evening, the Predators took a bite out of the Griffins for the win.
Net nabbers for the Predators were Kevin Christie from Steve Hutchins, Hutchins from Howard Cantelon, Fab Iafano from Cam Coulter and Kyle Bagg, Darren Jones from Coulter and Mike Desario, and Coulter from Jones. Griffin goal getters were Michael Horsley from Ron Toffan and Matt Dowdle, and Alex Schittenhelm from Mike Brioux and Richard Archer.
Wild 4, Fire 1
The Wild crew doused the flames of the Fire gang and took the win.
Wild whippers were Jason Clark from Shaun Heron and Craig Shaw, Dale Deleonardis from Shaw and Clark, Shaw from Clark, and Shaw from Heron and Clark. The Fire’s lone marksman was Shane Ainsley from Tim Vokey and Alex White.
Ice Hogs 4, Wings 1
In a repeat of the score from the game before, the Ice Hogs showed their skills over the Wings.
Lighting the lamp for the Handyman bunch were Brad Sztorc from Marc de Abaitua, Graham Bryson from Sztorc, Kevin Hayashi from Justin de Abaitua, and Sztorc from Matt Moss and Greg Keenan. The Wing bin bulger was Mike Blackwood from Mike DeFrancesco.
Blades 7, Brewers 3
In a game with lots of goals, the Blades cut the Brewers down.
Blade bin bulgers were Daryll and Shawn Simpson and Bogdan Rapan with a pair each and Brett Appio with the single. Assists were from the sticks of Dave Gardilcic, both Simpsons, Dan Maggio, Greg Fuller, Appio and Darren Levy. Brewer twine ticklers were Joe Doan with two and Jay Beech with the single, helped by Brent Spagnol, Steve Nicoloff and Dave Matheson.
