Buy a tie or scarf to support FTP

Show support to end violence against woman — participate in the Wrapped in Courage Campaign during Woman Abuse Prevention Month in November.
Last year, Family Transition Place (FTP) experienced a 10 per cent average increase in clients served per program, assisted 3,742 callers on the support information line, and helped more than 1,100 women and 119 children with direct programming through their emergency shelter and counselling services.
This community is not immune to woman abuse. At FTP, the goal is to put themselves out of work. This month, in support of Woman Abuse Prevention Month, FTP encourages the community to get involved.
This November, the public is asked for support to end violence against women by participating in the province-wide, Wrapped in Courage Campaign.
Show women that have experienced abuse that they are not alone by purchasing, wearing and telling others about the Wrapped in Courage purple scarf and/or purple tie — available for purchase at Scotiabank locations in Orangeville and in Bolton. The courage of a woman alone is not enough. Scarves and ties are available at Scotiabank — and the bank has offered to match all sales during November, so be sure to get one while quantities last. Scarves and ties are $20 each.
