Charged with impaired and assault

A 24-year-old Orangeville woman is facing charges after an Aug. 1 incident in the area of Porterfield Road and County Road 109.
Caledon OPP reports they were called to the scene of a traffic collision, and when they arrived, they found a black 2013 Chevrolet Cruze off the roadway, south of 109 and west of Porterfield. Police were informed bthat the driver of the vehicle had assaulted him while he was trying to render assistance. Police also observed the driver exhibited obvious signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested. While in custody, she apparently assaulted a police officer.
She was charged with impaired driving, driving with more than the legal limit of alcohol in her system, assault, dangerous operation of motor vehicle and assaulting a peace officer.
