Lots of entertainment as wrestling opens Brampton Fair

Classic Championship Wrestling was the opening act last Thursday night at Brampton Fall Fair. Champion Rob Rage was in a serious battle to hold on to his belt against Cody Deaner, who enlisted the help of Caledon resident Madison Horton, 9. Rage retained his title by cheating. Mike Maxwell was the referee.

Irishman Jake O’Reily was battling the British Brawler, who entered the ring to the sound of the Sex Pistols singing God Save the Queen. O’Reily tried stuffing his opponent in a trash can, but eventually resorted to more conventional methods for the win.

The Ladies’ title was at stake. Champion Aria, the Wild Sapphire, had the edge at this point, but KC Spinelli of Kitchener won the match and the title.

Phil Atlas had King Mamba in trouble early in their match, but the King eventually prevailed.

Dr. Stevil Trump, who apparently has a cousin named Donald who works in Washington, D.C., tried interfering to help Jackson Sparxx in his match with Kid Supremo, but the Kid won.

Cody Deaner should have won the championship belt, but Mr. Atlantis helped Rob Rage cheat to retain his title. Mr. Atlantis got his comeuppance when Big Bruce got into the ring for an impromptu tag-team match. The good guys won.
