Friends of Library fund projects

November 7, 2016   ·   0 Comments

Cool cats converged in Caledon’s authentic Alton Mill Oct. 28 to honour the winners of Caledon Public Library’s annual story writing, poetry and photography contests called Click-Create-Celebrate.
It was a wonderful soiree, where adults, teens and children mingled and prizes were awarded for creativity. Thank you to the staff at Caledon Public Library, who worked tirelessly in organizing the contests and this evening.
When I saw the joy on the faces of the younger children beaming with happiness as they accepted their prizes, I knew the fundraising the Friends of the Caledon Public Library (FOCPL) provides goes to worthwhile endeavours.
I am pleased to be a member of FOCPL and this team has community support through membership. I hope that the book sale tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday at Albion-Bolton Library will prove as successful in order to provide more funding for this and other library projects.
Z. Proudlock,
Caledon village
