The weather was something of a problem Saturday, but the rest of the weekend saw large and enthused crowds taking in the 2016 edition of Brampton Fall Fair. Captain Tremendous employed an airplane spin, followed by a splash from the lower ropes to get the count from referee Brad Meyers for victory over Toro Asiaro last Thursday night at Brampton Fall Fair. Classic Championship Wrestling was providing the entertainment on the first night of a very busy weekend at the Fair.

Friday night at the Fair saw the Holstein Cattle Show. Lindsay Bebbington and Doug Dixon, representing the sponsors, were flanking Aebi Christoph of Switzerlad, who was showing the Reserve Grand Champion Gail, Bolton area resident Julie French, who had the Grand Champion Quality Soloman Lust, and judge Steve Fraser of Fergus.

It’s never too young to be attending the Fair. This bull calf, belonging to Bill and Nancy Reid of Caledon, was just born last Tuesday. He was being fed by Peel Dairy Educator Sandy Vesz.

There were lots of competitors in the Garden Tractor pull. Competing in the Stock 850 class, Kaylee Brown of Erin pulled the sled 107.79 feet.

Leah Holtom, 16, of Brampton was one of the competitors in the Brampton’s Got Talent show.

Pat and Abby Stokes of Brand AAA Farms in Caledon drove this team of clydesdales to victory in the six-horse hitch class in the Heavy Horse Show.

As usual, the Demolition Derby attracted a large crowd Saturday night.

Samantha Flatley, 9, of Brampton had the chance to see what it’s like to milk a cow with this machine.

Fair patrons had the chance throw axes Sunday, courtesy of Stryke Target Range. Eric Fox of Mississauga was giving it a try.

There were opportunities for people at the fair to have their portraits done. Da Rong Dong of Portrait For you Art Studio was working on the drawing of Makenzie Sturge, 2, of Brampton while she was held by her mother Sienna Collins.

There were plenty of old-fashion games at the display table set up by the people at Old Britannia Schoolhouse. Adelaide and Clea MacDonald from Oakville were checking them out.

The Chinguacousy Concert Band, under the direction of Eric Mertinz, was providing music in the Beer Garden Saturday.

A number of people got up to join New Age Country Entertainment in their line-dancing demonstration.

Thursday night included lots of action in the squared circle, thanks Classic Championship Wrestling. The first match saw Kobe Durst driving his shoulder into Holden Albright. Albright eventually won the match.
