A 25-year-old Brampton man is facing theft charges after an April 12 incident.
Caledon OPP reports they were called out to investigate a man who drove a stolen truck onto a trucking compound on Centreville Creek Road. He failed to identify himself to security and went on the property. He then apparently connected his truck to a trailer carrying cargo valued at more than $34,000.
He was stopped by security as he attempted to leave the property. While security was verifying his credentials, the man apparently drove off with the trailer.
Police conducted multiple interviews at the scene, assisted by the Street Crime Unit.
The truck and trailer were recovered in Brampton.
The man was charged with two counts of theft over $5,000.
