Thanks for work at Cenotaph

November 18, 2015   ·   0 Comments

On behalf of the Board of Laurel Hill Cemetery, we want to thank local businessman Jimmy Pountney, and the members of the local Fire Department for refurbishing the flag poles standing at either side of the Cenotaph at Laurel Hill.
In addition to their efforts, Laurel Hill’s board has been working through an application to Veteran’s Affairs Canada for the restoration of the Cenotaph. When completed, enabling all names to be readable, arrangements have been made to have the Cenotaph illuminated.
Laurel Hill will continue, as in the past, to welcome the Memorial Day Parade and Celebration, and will be available to work with the planning committee.
Thank you Mr. Pountney for you initiative.
Roy Westlake,
President,
Laurel Hill Cemetery
