Man charged in shooting incident

An 18-year-old man from Caledon has been charged in connection with an April 20 incident in which a woman was shot with a BB gun in Bolton.
Caledon OPP had reported the victim had been sitting on a pathway between the Royal Courtyards and Willow Street at about 6:40 p.m. A dark coloured Volkswagen Golf, occupied by four males, drove up to the pathway and one of the occupants shot the victim in the back with the BB gun. The BB pellet lodged in the victim’s back and she required medical attention for the injury.
The suspect was arrested April 29, and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes.
