The spring home show season is upon us, as we start to enjoy warmer weather and our thoughts turn to gardening and home improvement plans.
The Orangeville Lions Home and Garden Show and the Caledon Home and Lifestyle Show are terrific events to visit to help you with those plans and they are conveniently located in our own community.
The Lions Home and Garden Show is hosted by the Orangeville Lions Club. This year’s show will be taking place from March 27 to 29 at the Orangeville Fairgrounds, 247090 Side Road 5, Mono. Both admission and parking are free, and all proceeds from the show allow the Orangeville Lions Club to continue their outstanding work in our community.
You and your family can explore 220 booths supported by 150 vendors at the Lions Home and Garden Show. There will be a wide range of products and services covering all your spring project plans, including home improvement, renovations, gardening, landscaping, heating, air conditioning and local real estate. You can also find valuable information booths on local services and local artisans. A highlight of the show is the Orangeville Lions Food Booth which offers hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage on a bun and their very popular French fries. For more information on the show, please visit www.orangevillelions.org
The second home show of the season here in Dufferin-Caledon is the Caledon Home and Lifestyle Show. This show is hosted by the Caledon Chamber of Commerce and will be taking place from April 24 to 26 at the Albion-Bolton Community Centre, 150 Queen St. South in Bolton.
Visitors to the Caledon Home and Lifestyle Show can find everything to tackle spring renovating, decorating and landscaping projects with more than 80 exhibitors and speakers available. There are many exciting, new features in the works for this year’s show, including Ask the Experts, which provides visitors with the opportunity to receive one-on-one advice from industry experts in design and décor, renovation, and landscaping; a Pet Zone, complete with the latest products and accessories for the four-legged members of the family; fashion shows; entertainment; as well as a salute to the upcoming Toronto 2015 Pan Am/Parapan American Games. A barbecue will be available throughout the weekend. For more information on the show, please visit www.caledonhomeshow.com or www.caledonchamber.com.
I will have an exhibitor booth at both home shows. I invite you to drop by to visit me and to pick up information I will have available on federal government programs and services.
The Orangeville Lions Home and Garden Show and the Caledon Home and Lifestyle Show promise to have something for everyone and for every spring project you may be contemplating. A visit to these home shows is a wonderful way to kick off the spring season.tilson
