Yuk Yuk’s on tour in Caledon — Ladies to laugh for a cause

Caledon Parent-Child Centre (CPCC) is bringing comedy to Caledon as they present their 10th annual Laugh Out Loud (LOL) event, a charity fundraiser, for ladies only, to be held April 25.
Yuk Yuk's is taking their show on the road and transforming The Royal Ambassador into a comedy club for an exclusive, evening of comedy. It will feature the hilarity of Yuk Yuk's headliners Scott Faulconbridge and Alex Nussbaum. The evening will also feature a lavish antipasto bar and waffle station and silent auctions with items for every pocketbook.
“Laugh Out Loud has truly become the quintessential girls' night out in Caledon,” said CPCC Manager of Community Relations and Volunteers Shelly Sargent. “We are very excited because 2014 is LOL's 10th anniversary. We're thrilled to celebrate this milestone by including a retrospective look back over the years, in addition to hosting our usual upbeat comedy show.”
“For a decade, women in Caledon have enjoyed attending this fantastic evening, knowing that they are also supporting infant development and parenting support programs which strengthen families and help children reach their full potential,” commented CPCC Executive Director Teresa Colasanti.
Tickets for Laugh Out Loud are available in advance only at a cost of $75 and are now available at The Caledon Parent-Child Centre or Scotiabank in Bolton. Proceeds of tickets purchased at Scotiabank, Bolton will be matched for donation to the event of up to $5,000. For detailed event information, call the CPCC at 905-857-0090 or visit www.cp-cc.org
The evening is sponsored by Garden Foods, Fines Ford Lincoln Sales and Service, BMO Bank of Montreal, Bolton Branch, MEI International Academy, R. B. Somerville, Titanium Trucking Services Inc., Sensory Garden Child Development Centre and Snap Caledon.
Proceeds benefit programs that strengthen families, including infant development and parenting support. Last year, CPCC provided quality programs and support services for 5,170 children, parents and caregivers in Caledon and the surrounding area. The Centre is a registered charitable organization that provides an important blend of services that strengthen families and assist them in their critical role of raising young children. Services include child development opportunities, early identification of developmental concerns, referrals to specialized services and supports, and parenting education.
