WORLD DAY OF PRAYER MARKED IN TOWN It was an excuse to wear colourful costumes Friday to mark the annual World Day of Prayer observances. This year's service was composed by the World Day of Prayer Committee of the Bahamas, and adapted for use in Canada by the Women's Inter-Church Council of Canada. Taking part in the service at Palgrave United Church were (standing) Joyce MacKinnon, Lydia Rogers, Molly Jakeman, Ann Green, Lenore Gisbson, (seated) Isabelle Bottoms, Riscylla Shaw, Cathy Hird and Marg Boughen. There was also a service at St. James' Anglican Church which opened with the showing of a film on the Bahamas, followed by a procession into the church. Photos by Bill Rea
