Hall Wolfpack football team have made it to the Region of Peel Secondary School Athletic Association championship after winning their semi-final game 23-0 over the Woodlands Secondary School Rams last Thursday on the gridiron at Hall home field. It was the eighth consecutive win for the Wolfpack who are undefeated for the season and have been a dominant force this year. Leading 3-0 after a field goal from kicker Gabriel Siemieniec, the Wolfpack blew the game wide open in the second half, beginning with a touchdown when the squad made it to the goal line on a number of passes to set up a short yardage situation. Linebacker Dalton Lisso crashed through the middle to score early in the third quarter. Going to the throwing game, Wolfpack quarterback Jake Smith made the pass to tight end Connor Reiners in the end zone and the RFH squad were leading 16-0. A final Hall touchdown came in the fourth quarter from Jake Fetterly. “We were a little sloppy in the first couple of plays,” Smith said. “We've always been a second half team, so that's when we put out points up. In the first half, we down a little bit with mental mistakes, when started moving the ball we started putting the points up." The championship game was scheduled for yesterday (Wednesday) at Centennial Stadium in Etobicoke. The results were not known at press time. With less than a week to get ready for the championship game, Smith said the squad would be practising every day to prepare for what was expected to be a tough final outing on the gridiron. “We stuck to our game plan,” said Wolfpack head coach Jason Sweeney of the team's objective during the semi-final. The champion game will pit the Wolfpack again the Cardinal Ambrozic Riverhawks, who secured their trip to the final with a 24-10 win over the number one team, from South Loyal. --------------------------------------------------- Images: https://caledoncitizen.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/46-hall-football-5.5-inch-184x300.jpg --------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------- Post date: 2013-11-15 15:05:17 Post date GMT: 2013-11-15 20:05:17 Post modified date: 2013-11-15 15:05:17 Post modified date GMT: 2013-11-15 20:05:17 ____________________________________________________________________________________________ Export of Post and Page as text file has been powered by [ Universal Post Manager ] plugin from www.gconverters.com
