Two draws in last week’s Caledon Senior Hockey League actionRutherford Global Logistics managed the only win last Monday in Caledon Senior Hockey League action with a 6-3 decision over Jiffy Lube Oilers. The other two games at Bolton's Don Sheardown Memorial Arena ended in ties. Bolton Chiropractic Centre scored three times in the third period but had to settle for a 5-5 sawoff with Fines Ford Lincoln and George's Arena Sports wound up in a 6-6 draw with Baffo's Pizza. Rutherford 6, Jiffy Lube 3 Paul Speck was the top marksman for Rutherford with two goals and an assist. Jim Dunbar had a goal and an assist while Frank McKay, Dan Labine and David Armstrong each scored once. Jim Horan notched two assists with singles going to Garth Young, Ted Callighen and Frank Cirone. Joe Palumbo, David Shoalts and Maurizio Giorgio scored for Jiffy Lube. Bill Sztorc set up two goals with single assists going to Joe Guaragna and Ron Sampson. BCC 5, Fines Ford 5 The Chiropractors scored three times in the third period, but Nick Rotundo scored his second goal of the night for Fines Ford to salvage the tie. Rotundo also had an assist, with Jim Moyer scoring twice and Peter Coghill once. Jeff Boyles, Bruno Fracassi and Bernie Tisdale all had two assists. Single assists went to Paul Burrell, Steve Sanderson and Dominic Spignasi. Greg Frangakis was the BCC spark plug with three goals, while Ian Kerr and Scott Sinclair had one each. Nick Taccogna set up all three of Frangakis's goals. Goaltender Santino Paglia, Kevin Brown, Robert Masutti, Jim Schaefer and Randy Freitag picked up single assists. Baffo's 6, George's 6 James Heenan fired three goals and an assist for Baffo's. Tony Dinis, Bob McHardy and Rick Agar had the other goals for the Pizza crew. Gary Faultless had three assists with Rich Petrie setting up two with singles going to Dave Boyd, Mike Oliver and Brian Samuel. Bill Doherty had the hot hand for George's with two goals and two assists. Jack Gibson also scored two goals while Bill Davis and Greg Collins had one each. Davis also set up two goals with single assists going to Collins, Clark Judge and Bob Hounsome. |
