Trudeau is ‘backtreading on his promise’It is frightful that Justin Trudeau, the Liberal leader of Canada, can swagger into political water backtreading on his promise of fair and open politics, now barring those who want to run in the Liberal campaign with ideals that go against his. It is the abortion issue now, but there could be more suprises yet to come. Justin Trudeau some months back was asked to identify the country that he most admired. His answer was China, which is a Communist dictatorship. We don't want a dictator as Prime Minister. It is imperative we continue to have the right to free thought and free speech in whatever walk of life we choose, political or otherwise. Pierre Trudeau made that clear in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. I did vote for him but I can no longer trust Justin. Linda Groundsell, Bolton |
