The weather was seasonably cold Saturday night in Alton Village Square as the Alton Village Association held the annual tree lighting festivities. Mayor Allan Thompson was among those on hand to cheer as the lights came on.

Santa Claus was there to meet his many friends, including Sophie Galbraith, 4, who was visiting from Oro-Medonte.
