Tractor pull had to be called off

On behalf of the Albion and Bolton Agricultural Society, we would like to extend a big thank-you all of the dedicated volunteers who worked so hard in the preparation of our 35th annual Bolton Truck and Tractor Pull.
Unfortunately, for the first time in 35 years, the tractor pull was cancelled because of the wet weather. There are many factors that were considered, but safety is the number-one priority. We were also unable to reschedule our event to Saturday as the OTTPA and EPS run sanctioned pulls throughout the summer and the pullers all had events the next day. We apologize for any inconvenience, but hope that everyone will join us next year. It takes many hands to put on such large community event, so thank you for your time and effort.
Also, a big thank you, to our very generous tractor pull sponsors. Each year, you help contribute to the success of our event through your donations or services. This year in particular, your sponsorship is greatly appreciated. Even though our event did not run, we have still incurred several expenses that need to be covered. Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
A special thank-you goes out to our great announcers Ed and Keith, Caledon OPP and the Knights of Columbus for their coverage of our Tractor Pull. We enjoy the partnership we share in the community.
The Bolton Truck and Tractor Pull is a community event put on by the volunteers of the Albion and Bolton Agricultural Society. This organization also puts on the Bolton Fall Fair, which is running Sept. 20, 21 and 22. For more information about our organization and how you can become involved as a volunteer or a sponsor of our events, visit our website at www.boltonfair.ca
Thanks to our wonderful community for your continued support. We look forward to seeing everyone next year, along with some sunshine.
Tom and Heather French,
Event Chairmen
