Town recruiting for Fire Chief

Looking for a position that involves continuous service improvement, strategic planning, leading a team of fire service professionals while providing key safety programs and services to the community? The Town of Caledon is recruiting for the position of Director of Fire and Emergency Services/Fire Chief.

Reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer, this role is responsible for the organization, operation and administration of the Fire Department and Community Emergency Management Program. The Fire Chief through leadership and strategic direction will establish plans, programs, budgets, policy and procedures, by-laws and other legislation which affect the Department's operation. The position is also responsible for the management, including supervision, and evaluation of staff and for providing technical advice on fire protection and prevention matters to all Town departments.

This position as part of the Senior Leadership Team, plays a key role in the implementation of the Town's strategic plan and the management of corporate goals, priorities and actions plans consistent with Council policies ensuring that all services are delivered efficiently, effectively and responsibly.
